To the trickery of men and their question to Him – Is it lawful to give tribute to Ceaser or not?, Jesus’s response was one that would have anyone stand in Awe of Him : Why tempt me, bring me a penny that I may see it – Whose is this image and superscription? – They said to Him, Ceaser’s. And Jesus answered and said : Render to Ceaser the things that are Ceaser’s and to God the things that are God’s!!!! As mentioned earlier, by the Lord’s prompting, I have been reading all the 18th chapters of the books of the Bible and yesterday it was the turn to read Jeremiah 18. And the bible reads that the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah saying, Arise and go down to the Potter’s house and there I will announce My words to you! The subsequent verses are as below: Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something on the wheel. Jer 18:4 But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make. Jer 18:5 ¶ Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, Jer 18:6 “Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter {does?}” declares the LORD. “Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. Wow! – What a word to receive even as we close 2017 and look forward to 2018!!!! LORD, here I am – You are the Potter and I am the clay / mould me and make me / This is what I pray! Let’s dedicate our lives to Him who is able to do abundantly more than what we can think, comprehend or understand and let Him direct out steps for 2018 and help us accomplish much more than all the years put together this New Year.
