While there may be prophecies about the new year – what is God telling you and me?

In a Sunday service, God prompted me to look at the number 18 more intently – So I have decided to read all 18th chapters from Genesis to Revelation for God to speak to me on what He wants me to hear.

But our Creative God, got my attention to the book of Joshua 1:8 (18 in some way!) – it reads, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

2018 should be the year that we READ the WORD of GOD more than I have ever in my life. This particular verse says

  • the law shall not depart from my mouth – how can it not depart if I DO NOT know what the Law is?
  • that you shall meditate day and night – is our Bible reading only 5 minutes each in the morning and night. When was the last time you and I meditated on the Word of God. Chewing like how the cow ruminates its food … when you and I do this, our God starts to speaking and revealing His Glorious truths in new ways that we have never seen in our lives before
  • when we meditate, we will be careful to do ALL according to what is written in it – how will I know what is written in it, if I DO NOT read everything that is written in it? – there are things we need to know in the Word which instructs us to DO and there are things we are NOT to DO! – do we know them?
  • If we do read and meditate day and night the Promise is – Then you and I will make our Way Prosperous and we will have Success : Aren’t we all wanting to be successful? / Well this is the way.

Let me wish you a 2018 that will be WORD Centered and you and I will make 2018 a year that will be dedicated to nourish and relish His Word, so that we will be careful to DO everything written in it for us to be prosperous and successful.

Blessings!
