Is your situation pleasant but the water bad and land unfruitful?

Are you in a Beautiful place but with Ugly problems? – I remember Bishop T D Jakes’ mentioning this in one of his messages!

Life has it’s oximorons!!!!  – there could be a lot of beautiful things that one enjoys but alongside that there are those ugly things that one worries too.
You’ve got a job but its not fulfilling! You are married but you have lost the joy of being together … your kids are doing OK in studies but its the relationship with them that hurts or could be anything else, where the situation looks pleasant BUT it’s ugly!

Was looking up in the Bible on the word “Mantle” and stumbled upon the scripture where Elisha after receiving the mantle from Elijah the forerunner, is being approached by the men of the city who  say “Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land is unfruitful.” (2 Kings 2:19)

What do you do when everything around you looks pretty and nice but is NOT productive!?

Elisha’s response was to go to the root / source of the water and cleanse this with SALT! – He went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or un-fruitfulness any longer.'” (2 Kings 2:21)

Sometimes we may need to go to the source of our issues to see if we need to let GOD intervene from there onwards! … staying in the superficial WILL NOT HELP! … We must go to the source … Take time out in prayer and fasting and SEEK the face of God! – He will get to the source and purge and cleanse ALL that needs cleansing ….. and then the promise …. “there shall not be from there death or un-fruitfulness any longer” – HalleluJAH!!!!
